The Triangle Chapter of Emerging Green Builders (EGB) actively promotes the integration of sustainable “green” principles in the design and development of residential and commercial buildings through networking and educational events. The group is comprised mainly of students and young professionals who have a keen interest in green building but also includes those new to the Triangle area and/or the field of green building. Anyone wishing to actively promote sustainable development among their peers and throughout the Triangle area is welcome to participate in EGB and our monthly events. The Triangle EGB holds monthly Core Committee meetings for those who would like to be more involved in developing a growing community of green builders. In addition, the Triangle EGB has a bi-monthly networking event known nationally as Green Drinks. Other monthly events may include: design charettes, movies, LEED study groups, a mentoring program, building lectures and tours, and a group Habitat build.
